About Us

The Global Union of Changemakers (GUC) began its journey after the World Bank Group Youth Summit 2025, where over 700 delegates from across the globe came together both virtually and in person. Inspired by the energy of the summit, the delegates agreed to create a platform that would exist for generations, uniting changemakers worldwide. From this vision, GUC was born.

The movement was initiated by a committed delegate from Uganda, Bogere Andrew, who now serves as the President of GUC. He was joined and supported by other passionate leaders including Ibrahim Wako Liban from Kenya (Communications Director), Nura Muhammad from Nigeria (HR Director), Shree Ananya from India (Executive Director), Fatuma Maulid from Tanzania (National Director), and many other changemakers across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

What started as a WhatsApp group of summit delegates has since transformed into a global network of changemakers united by a shared purpose.

Our vision is to become the largest global platform of changemakers that empowers youth to create lasting impact and shape a better, more inclusive world for future generations.

Our mission is to unite, empower, and support changemakers worldwide by providing opportunities, resources, and collaborative spaces that transform ideas into sustainable solutions for global challenges.

We aim to connect, empower, and mobilize youth leaders globally by fostering collaboration, innovation, and leadership. Through digital platforms, cross-border partnerships, and youth-led initiatives, we ensure that young voices are heard, their creativity is celebrated, and their actions bring real change.

We believe that youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but the leaders of today, and our approach ensures they are given the tools and opportunities to lead effectively.

The Global Union of Changemakers is guided by a structured global leadership team that includes a President, an Executive Director, Directors, Officers, and National Directors. Each leader plays a strategic role in shaping GUC’s direction, and collaboration is facilitated mainly through online platforms to connect changemakers globally.
