The Global Union of Changemakers (GUC) began its journey after the World Bank Group Youth Summit 2025, where a diverse group of passionate youth delegates gathered both virtually and in person. Inspired by the summit, over 700 delegates immediately joined a collaborative WhatsApp group to continue discussions, share ideas, and explore ways to create a lasting impact for future generations.
Out of these discussions emerged the idea of a unified global movement, and thus GUC was introduced—a platform designed to bring together changemakers worldwide and amplify their projects and initiatives.
This movement was initiated by a visionary delegate from Uganda, Bogere Andrew, who now serves as the President of GUC. Bogere Andrew did not lead alone; he was supported by a dedicated team of global leaders committed to empowering youth and driving positive change. Key founding leaders include:
Ibrahim Wako Liban (Kenya) – Communications Director
Nura Muhammad (Nigeria) – Human Resources Director
Shree Ananya (India) – Executive Director
Fatuma Maulid (Tanzania) – National Director
…and many other passionate individuals from the UK, USA, Asia, and Africa, all contributing their skills and commitment to the mission.
From the very beginning, GUC has focused on collaboration, innovation, and global impact. Our members brainstorm, plan, and implement projects that address critical issues affecting youth and communities worldwide.
Our Vision:
To create a worldwide network of changemakers where youth-led initiatives are recognized, supported, and scaled, ensuring a legacy of positive impact for generations to come.
